Not sure this is very Labour. Why should poorer folk with a little bit of extra savings have to stick it in riskier investments to get tax relief? 

They won't have the means to invest the sort of amounts that make hiring an investment advisor worth while unlike the rich ... 

And surely that "riskier" investment is what the banks do with our money (whether in an ISA or not) it's just that they take the risk and take their cut!

LGBT Rights in 2002

In collecting together my thoughts for this blog, I came across this piece from 2002. On 12th October of that year my union held it's first "trial" conference. I took the following from a short piece I placed in the branch magazine about it....

single equality act with single equality commission until which we should have a LGBT commission"...

It's interesting to note how far we have come since then apart from LGBT human rights worldwide

Sorry but that's not the answer to anything - build homes so the price drops and folk can afford them under the current rules without getting into even more massive debt.

Also the building activity itself is financial actively that will boost the economy!!!

Well now anyone of a diversity different to White straight Male should consider boycotting  "Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp"

The argument for Farcebonk and Whatapp go back a lot further of course. In 2021 a huge backlash and much downloading of other apps (even encouraged by Musk at the time) created an apology from Meta about the way they had explained their TandC changes then

"The phrasing of the warning in the initial push led to widespread fears that it was going to share large amounts of WhatsApp data with Facebook." 

And the BBC article said "In reality, very little had changed in that area - and almost all users had previously accepted the type of data sharing involved." 

And a lot of folk said that they understood that the EU Law stopped a lot of what Whatapp/Meta were going to do and it only really applied in the US...

Well of course we had left the EU but a lot of the law remains ... but for how long? With the noises the Government keeps making towards the US I doubt the UK will be protecting anyone in a way Trump doesn't like for long! You know that ..."person" that's besties with all the Tech Billionaires.

Interesting word choice "reticent" the dictionary definition of which is "unwilling to speak about your thoughts or feelings" so distancing only in the sense he doesn't want to SPEAK about his support (or otherwise?) for him!
